                  Set Up Viber on Your Desktop







With Viber on your desktop, you can send and receive messages, enjoy group calls, create stickers, and more, as your devices seamlessly sync.

Take a look at our Supported Platforms to see if your desktop version is supported.
IMPORTANT
  • You don’t need to be connected to Viber on your phone to use Viber on your desktop, however, you should always keep Viber on your phone updated for optimal app performance on both devices.
  • Some chat features may not be available on desktop.

Step 1: Before you begin

To activate Viber on your desktop, make sure that you have the following:

  • The latest version of Viber on your phone.
  • A strong internet connection on both your phone and your computer

Step 2: Download Viber

Windows

  1. Download the Windows version of Viber for Desktop
  2. Click on the file once it has finished downloading (at the bottom of your screen)
  3. Viber will open: click Install and follow the instructions. (This may take a few minutes.)
  4. You may be asked to confirm that you’re downloading from a reliable source: click Yes
Notes
If you receive an error message that the downloaded file can’t be opened or run on your PC, please download a different version of Viber (32-bit).

Mac

  1. Download the Mac version of Viber for Desktop
  2. Click on the file once it has finished downloading (at the bottom of your screen)
  3. Viber will open: drag the Viber icon into the Application folder
  4. You will be redirected to your Application folder: double click on Viber
  5. You may be asked to confirm that you’re downloading from a reliable source: click Open

Step 3: Sync Viber with your phone

Once Viber is installed on your computer, you can begin to sync it with your phone.
  1. Open Viber on your phone
  2. Tap More  (Android)  (iPhone)
  3. Tap on the QR icon 
    1. If your QR scanner doesn’t come up automatically, tap on QR Scanner (Android) or Scan QR Code (iOS)
  4. Scan the QR code on your computer
  5. Your phone’s operating system and Viber will ask you to approve the activation process. Select Approve/Yes in all cases
  6. Tap Sync on your phone to start syncing Viber on your computer with your phone

You’re ready to use Viber on your desktop!
